Madeira

The Atlantic island filmed from the air: seas of cloud above the peaks, cliffs falling into the ocean and dawn light over the sleeping volcano.

Madeira is filmed above the cloud. The inland peaks sit over the marine layer, so at dawn the island appears as an archipelago floating on a white sea.

Volume, not postcard. The drone is used to reveal depth — ridge layered against ridge, raking light separating each plane — not for the usual panoramic sweep. Deep green, basalt and ocean: the palette comes from the island, not from the grade.
