Indian Wedding Cinema

Twelve years filming Indian and South Asian weddings across the Riviera Maya, Los Cabos and nine other countries. 4K capture on cinema bodies, hand-graded colour, and ultra-luxury production treated the way a film is treated — shot architecture before the day, a colourist’s timeline after it.

A Statement
of Authority

An international wedding film and photography studio dedicated to cinematic storytelling for South Asian weddings, multi-day celebrations and ultra-luxury productions worldwide.

Twelve years working the Cancún and Riviera Maya circuit — the twin market to Los Cabos, the same planners, the same properties — and more than eighty South Asian weddings filmed across Dubai, Iceland, Rome, Spain, India, Costa Rica, Punta Cana, Los Cabos and Cancún.

Our creative director works in cinema as well as weddings — a short film with a theatrical release — and brings that discipline to every wedding we take on: shot architecture before the day, colour graded by hand after it.

Our Philosophy

Timeless,
refined,
emotionally
precise.

Inspired by fashion, cinema and editorial storytelling, we create imagery that outlives the trend it was made in.

Each wedding is approached as a bespoke visual production, executed with precision, artistic sensitivity and absolute discretion.

We accept a limited number of weddings per year. That constraint is deliberate — it is what allows full creative focus, direct communication and an uncompromising standard on every frame we deliver.

  • Every project personally led by the creative director
  • Museum-level post-production, graded by hand

Cultural Fluency

We know what happens next.

South Asian weddings are layered, ceremonial and deeply symbolic. Each celebration follows its own rhythm and protocol, unfolding across multiple days and distinct cultural events. The difference between a crew that has done this and a crew that has not is measured in the moments they miss.

Mehndiमेहंदी

Henna, close hands, low warm light. Intimate and detail-driven.

Haldi · Pithiहल्दी

Turmeric, colour and chaos. Fast glass and protected bodies.

Sangeetसंगीत

Choreography and stage light. Two cameras locked on performance.

Baraatबरात

The procession. Aerial unit up, ground unit moving backwards.

Anand Karajਅਨੰਦ ਕਾਰਜ

Sikh ceremony. Silent bodies, respectful distance, long lenses.

Vivaah · Phereविवाह

The pheras around the fire. Angles fixed before the first step.

Nikahنکاح

Contract and blessing. Discretion above all else.

Vidaaiविदाई

The farewell. The most emotionally loaded ten minutes of the weekend.

Receptionस्वागत

Entrances, speeches, the floor. Lighting brought in and built.

Mastery of multi-day ceremonial timelines · Fluency across Hindu, Sikh, Muslim and fusion traditions · Precision storytelling inside ceremonial structure. We understand not only how these events look, but how they function — and where to stand before the moment arrives.

Agra Fort — India

Reach

Nine countries,
one reason.

We did not pass through these places. We were flown to them to film a wedding, and we went home when it was over. A destination wedding is not a travel portfolio — it is a production that has to work the first time, in a country where you do not control the light, the venue or the permit.

What travels with us is not the equipment — that can be rented or shipped wherever it is needed. It is the judgement. The same reading of a Sikh ceremony in Iceland as in Cancún, the same backup protocol, the same person directing.

Resort architecture on the Riviera Maya

The base

Riviera Maya
& Cancún

This is where the studio lives and where the craft was learned: twelve years on the same corridor, from Cancún down to Tulum, in the market that receives more South Asian weddings than anywhere else in México.

Twelve years in one market means we already know the banquet coordinator, we know what time the sun enters each ballroom, and we know which property allows an aerial unit and which does not. None of that can be improvised on the Thursday you arrive.

The corridor we cover, north to south:

  • Cancún · Zona Hotelera
  • Puerto Morelos
  • Playa del Carmen
  • Tulum
  • Resident crew — no fly-in fee, no travel day billed
  • Venue-specific light windows mapped before the timeline is locked
  • Multi-day access negotiated with the property in advance
Camel procession at sunset, Los Cabos

On the ground

The Baja
Peninsula

Los Cabos is not one venue market but three — Cabo San Lucas, San José del Cabo and the corridor out to the East Cape. Each has its own light, its own wind and its own rules.

The list is deliberately short — we name what we have worked, not a directory. Tell us where you are placing the wedding and we handle the access.

We have earned our way into these properties one wedding at a time:

  • Waldorf Astoria Los Cabos Pedregal
  • Grand Velas Los Cabos
  • Garza Blanca Resort & Spa
  • Hard Rock Hotel Los Cabos
  • Full peninsula coverage with no internal travel fee
  • Ground transport within Baja California Sur included

Importing a crew from the United States or Canada adds US$1,500–3,500 to a wedding budget before a single frame is exposed. Ours is already here.

Beyond the Resort

The frames you will hang
are not shot in a ballroom.

A resort gives you the celebration; the territory gives you the images that outlive it. Every wedding includes a conversation about where — beyond the property line — we take you for the portraits. Our rule of thumb is that time is best spent within an hour of the property, though that is a recommendation and not a limit: for a pre-wedding session we have travelled as far as Iceland and worked five days across multiple locations. If a place matters to you, we will go.

Baja California Sur

The Arch

El Arco at the tip of the peninsula, reached by water at first or last light. The most recognisable frame in Baja, and the hardest to shoot well.

Desert & Dunes

The Pacific dunes and the cardón desert behind them — vast, empty, and a scale no ballroom can give you.

Coastline

The East Cape and the Sea of Cortez: black volcanic rock, still water, and light that lasts an hour longer than the forecast says.

Santa María Bay

A protected turquoise cove on the corridor, twenty minutes from most properties — calm water, pale sand, granite headlands.

The Estuary

The Estero de San José, where freshwater and palms meet the sea. Green, shaded and unexpected in a desert — the counterweight to every beach frame.

Old Town

San José del Cabo's art district and Todos Santos — colour, texture and architecture, for couples who want their portraits to feel lived-in.

Mexican Caribbean

Cenotes

Freshwater caverns under the jungle, lit by a single vertical shaft. It is the one place on the corridor where the light arrives clean and from directly above.

Jungle & Sacbé

Limestone paths through closed vegetation. Dense green, high shade and a palette that is the exact opposite of the desert.

Tulum Coastline

White sand against turquoise water, with the low cliff line and the palms leaning under the east wind.

Figures shown are minimums, not ceilings. We deliver every frame that meets our standard — the numbers above are what we contractually guarantee.

The figure shown is the entry point for that discipline, in US dollars and net of tax. The per-collection breakdown is delivered inside the proposal, built on your actual timeline: number of events, venues and days.

Beyond the Collection

Enhancements

Each of these can be added to any collection. Several are already included at the higher tiers — we will always tell you when you are about to pay twice for something you already have.

Additional Event Day

Full coverage of an extra ceremony or celebration day, same crew configuration.

Additional Photographer / Cinematographer

One more artist for large-guest events or ceremonies that run simultaneously. Priced per event day.

Same-Day Edit

A 3–5 minute film cut on location and screened during the reception — the single moment guests never forget.

48-Hour Teaser

A 60–90 second vertical cut delivered within 48 hours of the ceremony.

FPV Aerial Unit

A specialist first-person-view pilot — a separate discipline from our standard aerial unit. Placed only where it earns the shot: baraat, ceremony entrance, portraits, reception reveal.

FPV Celebration Block

Six hours of FPV across all event days, arranged with your planner in advance.

Editorial Portrait Session

A separate art-directed session at a location of your choosing — arch, desert, dunes, cenote or coastline. See Beyond the Resort.

Vertical Social Suite

Twenty short-form vertical cuts formatted for Reels and TikTok, delivered weekly.

Full Raw Archive

Every original file, ungraded, delivered on an encrypted physical drive.

Enhancements are quoted to measure inside the proposal, in US dollars and net of tax. The FPV unit carries a two-hour minimum and, where a property charges vendor access for an additional operator, that fee is billed at cost and never marked up.

How We Work

The Process

Five stages, from first call to final archive. Nothing here is improvised — the calm on the wedding day is the product of everything that happened before it.

  1. 01

    Conversation

A thirty-minute call with the creative director. We look at the venue, the timeline and what matters most to the family.

  2. 02

    Date Hold

A signed agreement and a 50% retainer secure the dates. We accept a limited number of weddings per year.

  3. 03

    Creative Direction

Six weeks out we build the shot architecture with your planner: light windows, ceremony blocking, off-property locations, contingency for weather.

  4. 04

    The Days

We arrive early, we scout, we stay out of the frame. Your guests should never notice how much we are working.

  5. 05

    The Archive

Selects and grade in DaVinci Resolve. Teaser first, then the films, then the full gallery — each on the schedule written into your agreement.

Appendix

Craft & Safeguards

We lead with the image, not the equipment. What follows is for the planner and the family who want to know what stands behind it — and what happens if something goes wrong.

Nothing Is Lost

Dual card recording in every body. On-site backup to two independent drives before the crew leaves the venue, and a cloud mirror within 24 hours. Three copies of your wedding exist before we sleep.

Crew Continuity

Every artist on your wedding is named in the agreement. If illness or accident makes one unavailable, we field a replacement of equal standing at our cost — never a cancellation, never a downgrade.

Capture

Sony A1 as principal body, recording S-Log3 / S-Gamut3.Cine in 10-bit; secondary bodies matched to the same colour science. Carl Zeiss and G-Master primes and zooms — fast glass for candlelit interiors, long telephoto for ceremonies where distance is a form of respect.

Aerial

Cinematic 4K aerial unit for processions, venue reveals and coastline, flown where the venue permits it. FPV is a separate discipline with a specialist pilot — quoted under Enhancements.

Light & Movement

Continuous LED and battery-powered strobes, shaped and diffused; gimbal, slider and shoulder rig. Natural light is respected first and the camera moves only when the story moves.

Post-production

DaVinci Resolve Studio, YRGB colour-managed. ARRI LogC intermediate, Kodak 2383 print emulation, HDR-capable master with a Rec.709 delivery. Every frame graded by hand — no presets, no batch.

Backup is a procedure here, not a promise: three independent copies of your wedding exist before the crew sleeps, and the archive is held for the full life of your gallery.

The Agreement

Terms & Investment Notes

Currency & Payment

All figures are quoted in US dollars, net — no sales tax or IVA is added at signature. We settle by Wise, PayPal or direct bank transfer.

Retainer & Schedule

A 50% retainer confirms the dates. A further 30% is due ninety days before the first event, and the balance 20% thirty days before.

Accommodation

For multi-day celebrations the crew is accommodated at the property within the family's room block — the standard arrangement in this market, and the one that gives us unrestricted access from the first ritual to the vidaai. Rooms are not part of the collection price; your planner builds them into the block.

Venue & Vendor Fees

Where a resort applies a vendor-access fee it is a cost of the venue, not of the collection, and is settled by the couple through the planner. We never mark it up, and we will flag it before it becomes a surprise. Ground transport within the host state is included; destinations beyond it are quoted at cost.

Weather & Force Majeure

Both the Mexican Caribbean and Baja run a hurricane season from June to November. If a named storm, civil authority or venue closure moves your date, we move with it at no rebooking fee, subject to availability; if we cannot, the retainer transfers to a new date within eighteen months.

Delivery

Delivery windows begin the day after the final event and every collection carries a written delivery date in the agreement. A signed contract governs all terms; this page is a summary of investment, not the agreement itself.

For Planners & Venues

We work with a small number of planners as preferred partners, on rates and terms agreed by season. If you place South Asian weddings regularly, write to us and we will talk.
